At Sophie Ellen Home we knew we wanted to create home decor and gifts that had an eco friendly and sustainable approach. Working together with other UK based companies who have the same values in mind, we have been able to take positive steps towards this goal. 

Home Decor Textiles 

Our textiles suppliers only use reactive inks which not only boasts superior rub and wash fastness but also conforms to Oeko-tex standard 100, meaning they contain no harmful chemicals. They wash fabrics at up to 70 degrees to remove any preparation solution and unfixed dyes. The waste water is then processed through an effluent plant and released back to public water treatment processing plants.

100% cotton is always used and by 2021 all of their stock fabrics will be organic which they have certification for.

Natural Vegan Candle Range 

Working together with UK based candle ingredients suppliers we have created a candle range with doing things naturally at the forefront. Using natural plant waxes only and fragrance oils are of the highest quality. They do not contain any harsh chemicals or colours. The cotton wicks are made with a paper core and are the only wicks use. As well as the ingredients being as natural as possible, with no parabens, sulphates or harsh chemicals. 

Our candles are suitable for vegans, as we do not use any animal ingredients or ingredients which have been tested on animals.  

Packaging 

We use recycled boxes and recycled glass for our candle range and all packaging across our ranges are made from recycled materials.
